Edit multiple occurences of regions with Emacs

A nifty way to edit multiple occurances of regions in Emacs is to install iedit (in the Emacs 24 package repositories).

First, select the region that your want with

C-SPC

Iedit can then be invoked with

CTRL-;

or the longer

M-x iedit-mode

If multiple occurences of your highlighted text are detected, then iedit will highlight them throughout the buffer.

Editing one region will then cause all matched regions to be updated with the same edits.
