If you want to use the GIT version of Concrete5, you need to turn on short tags in php_ini. Not doing so will result in a blank screen, as the short tags ( ?>) fail silently to parse PHP code. Nothing shows up in
The default php.ini in Ubuntu ships with short tags and errors turned off by default. These need to be turned on. Concrete5 meanwhile switches all short tags to long tags in its releases meant for distribution. Hopefully it will make the transition to long tags in the GIT source.
